This one is a little old, but it deserves a quick post.  Anna Chapman is editing a publication on venture capital in Russia, and plans to begin a VC venture to link entrepreneurs in high tech and investors.   Because who could possibly be better to promote Russia to those with sensitive technology and commercial information than a spy?

  2. Her Maxim spread set a new record for retouchness. On the other hand, how pathetic is ‘Hollywood for ugly people’ Washington D.C. that a girl considered an average Moscow lady could be considered a new Bond girl?

  3. @Mr. X–it ain’t Washington that’s promoting the hell out of her. She’s promoting herself, of course, but Putin and the Russian media have also made her a poster girl–retouches and all. A good deal of the attention she gets in the US reflects fascination and puzzlement over the attention and prominence she has in Russia.

    Wait for my post later today on Putin and a not-so-average Russian girl!
