SWP: The Soundtrack

Filed under: Economics — The Professor @ 8:48 pm

Right now, as the world financial system teeters on the brink, two songs are competing for the top spot on the SWP playlist: REM’s “The End of the World as We Know It” (the only REM song I can stand), and the Ramones’ “It’s Gonna Be Alright” (definitely not the only Ramones song I really like, let alone can stand.)

Which of the two will be prophetic?   Hopefully the latter, but who knows?

  1. I’d like to nominate The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony.”

“Trying to make ends meet, you’re a slave to money and then you die……”

  2. I think it will be the REM song. It’s truly time for a change.
