The Company They Keep

To get an idea of just how bizarre are Russian claims that the American HAARP system, it’s worthwhile to check out the kinds of conspiracy theories, and conspiracy theorists, that surround this program.  Here are a couple of useful summaries.  Ain’t no tinfoil hat thick enough . . .

This is the scientific equivalent of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.  So no wonder it resonates in Russia.  And no wonder that RT was at the front of the pack in flogging this theory. It is of note that a Google search of “phobos-grunt haarp” generates 986,000 hits.

For a non-insane dissection of this theory, see this Scientific American piece.

  2. The true believers in the Putin -mafia sect – In Norway, we have a quote, “Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are” . Former Navy UDT, professional wrestler, actor, and Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura is member of the sect .

    Funny actor

  3. Funny, I didn’t know George Noury and Coast to Coast AM were controlled by the Kremlin.

And Anders, lay off The Body. He’s been lied about a hell of a lot lately but has shown more valor than all the little pro-war pilot fish on Fox News put together. And TMZ is about to have to pay him a pretty big settlement for libel.

  4. And sorry Anders, but maybe I missed something, but when did Jesse Ventura ever praise Putin, or say a word about Russia at all?

And SWP, here’s a damn good example of why you don’t like Google — you have the Zionist Organization of America defending Glenn Beck’s claims about George Soros collaborating with the Nazis in his youth. That came from Soros 1999 interview with CBS News, which now is very hard to find online having been almost totally expunged from the web. I’d say Soros has more than Reputation Defender or or whatever they call themselves these days on his side.

  6. Mr. X THE SPAMMING MAFIAS Reputation Defender of Putin -Hugo Chaves – Ahmadinejad’ and the enemies of democratic dialog.

HAARP-CIA what about -what about-what about- HAARP- The true believers in the Putin -mafia Alex Jones and Jesse Ventura .

The danger of conspiracy thinking is that it replaces sober analysis of social and political problems with images of a powerful and diabolic enemy. They rest on a notion that everything that goes wrong in the world can be ascribed to evil intrigues, rather than social structures and historical circumstances.

In their absolute consequences, conspiracy fantasies are therefore hate ideologies. They foster the demonization of a group of people – Jews, Freemasons, Catholics, Muslims, or “Culture-Marxists” – who are perceived to break down the “desired” social and political order. Furthermore, conspiracy myths nearly always contain a strong crisis-consciousness in the form of the belief that the world – at least how it should be – is at the edge of a cliff. According to such a perspective even the most despicable acts, such as terrorism and genocide, can be justified as a “self-defense” against “evil” and “disintegrating” forces.

At the same time, conspiracy myths often appear attractive by offering a (false) compass in a complex world that is rapidly changing. On the one hand they create artificial connections between complex developments and events, and on the other they give the driving forces behind what is feared and unexpected a face. This is why a real danger exists that conspiracy myths can re-flourish on a mass-scale, especially in times of crisis. This is exactly why we must demonstrate a crystal-clear distance from such misconceptions.

  7. SOROS on in Norway is a nazi webbsite in Norway putting forward sick anti-semitic sewage like you Mr X

Soros’ warning is probably based on his natural market instincts as well as personal experience.

“I did survive a personally much more threatening situation, so it is emotional, as well as rational,” Soros said in reference to his personal experiences with both Nazi and Communist occupations.

So you might want to pay attention to a recent story from The Daily Beast that claims George Soros is nervous about the future of the global economy and that he warns of dark things to come.

“At times like these, survival is the most important thing,” Soros said.

The Sublim moron have had a time out with his handlers in KGB and Russia Today – In 2002, Griffin founded Freedom Force International, a libertarian activist network, whose members value individual freedom above government power. The organization’s position that the exclusive role of government is to protect people’s rights and property, not to provide services like welfare, reflects Griffin’s view that collectivism and freedom “are mortal enemies.” One of the organization’s stated goals is to elect people with such views to government offices and onto the boards of nonprofit organizations — true to its motto, “Don’t fight city hall when you can be city hall.”

One thing is clear the funny Sublim Berklye Boy have the heart in the communist Party -Voting for the strongman Putin as dictator and are asslicking the Dugin imperialists –

Putin, who at times borrowed from Dugin’s rhetorical toolbox, was well aware that Russia had nothing to gain—and much to lose—from an actual confrontation . Dugin was amongst the earliest members of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP) and convinced Eduard Limonov to enter the political arena in 1994. A part of hard-line nationalist NBP members, supported by Dugin split off to form the more right-wing, anti-liberal, anti-left, anti-Kasparov aggressive nationalist organization, National Bolshevik Front. After breaking with Limonov, he became close to Yevgeny Primakov and later to Vladimir Putin’s circle .-In 2006, Primakov presided at the founding meeting of Russia’s new forum for Muslim countries, the “Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.” The new group held its first session in Moscow on March 27-28, attended by delegates from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, and 12 additional Muslim states. Putin greeted the delegates. Significantly, the “statesman” who presided at the meeting was Primakov, a renowned Arabist who played a key role in formulating the Soviet Union’s ties with the Muslim world during the cold-war era.
